Mira asked me how she can spice up sweatshirts, so I let myself think of a few things. First, I show you how a basic sweatshirt, which I usually wore under sweaters in the winter, has become a cool part. You still may extend this project by adding a few colored beads, threads or rhinestones between the fabric ruffles. Meanwhile, I am satisfied with the outcome and will think it over later to see if something can be done.
For this DIY project you need:

1.) Sweatshirt
2.) Ruler
3.) Old T-shirt (or a new one, eg. at Kik from EUR 1.99)
4.) Pins
5.) Marker
6.) Silk yarn(transparent yarn) and needle
7.) Scissors
THE TUTORIAL:
Cut the old T-shirt at the hem and mark four about 6 cm wide strips.
Cut the seams on the sides and gently draw out the strips in length (crimpling).
Now attach the cloth strips intertwined with pins to the shoulders of the sweatshirt.
Sew with the transparent yarn by hand. The seams should not be sewn regularly, but back and forth with relatively large distances (on the backside). In this way, the gathers will get a beautiful form. DONE!
THE FINAL RESULT:

From the front

From the side
