DIY Poncho in Action;) - Fashion Blog: OUTFITS - Fashion Ideas for Everyday Life
Here you see the poncho, which is hidden behind the current DIY Advent calendar door and which lets my hippie girl’s heart beat faster.
Yesterday at the Christmas market, it got “officially presented” for the first time and immediately two ladies asked me about it. When I told them that I’ve done it myself, they could not believe it and said that they guessed, it comes from Missoni (!). For me, of course, a huge compliment and the best “advertising” for my fashion and DIY blog.
The poncho is really easy to sew and thanks to the double knit-layer ( see DIY instructions ), it also keeps very warm. Since it is a real eye-catcher cause of the bold colors and patterns, the rest of my outfit got casual. Beige blazer, a dark blue sweatshirt, jeans and boots completed the styling.
It came to my mind this poncho looks much better with light jeans than paired to dark denim washes.
DIY Poncho: tutorial here in my blog • Blazer: secondhand • Jumper: New Look (old) • Jeans: Only • Boots: from Holland • Fringe Bag: Takko
Here I show you one more styling idea for the poncho: Simple put up the “sleeves” on both sides and fix them with safety pins. Now the poncho looks quite different. This carrying variant I like particularly well in combination with tight dresses and skirts.
