DIY Tutorial 13: Necklace from a Felt Border

I bought this felt border initially as a table decoration and had a great idea in my mind. When I saw it lying on the table, it didn’t please me at all. So I needed something new. And while I did a little snipping on it, I thought probably the felt part would be nice as a necklace. After a couple of eyelets and studs I was sure – it really does!

For this DIY-Tutorial you need:

 •  felt border (from the furnishing house or craft store)
 •  small chain (optional with link rings)
 •  eyelets (and grommet pliers)
 •  studs
 •  scissors
 •  potter’s needle
 •  pliers

DIY Tutorial 13: Necklace from a Felt Border - Step 2Pimp up the border on your mood with eyelets and studs.

DIY Tutorial 13: Necklace from a Felt Border - Step 3Pre-drill a small hole with the potter’s needle (felt is more stubborn than you think), and attach the chain. DONE!

TIP: Worn on a high-necked denim shirt or on a white shirt blouse, the necklace looks especially nice.
