Today I have to tell you one of my secrets: I can not leave an Ikea furniture store empty-handed. On good days I only buy a few scented candles, but on bad days, in addition I even take storage boxes, a bed linen, napkins and even the calorie-rich biscuits from Sweden. Most of all I like to buy the pretty Ikea fabrics, which end up in a large box as soon as I arrive home.
There, they often have to wait many weeks or sometimes even months for their big show, until an appropriate DIY idea comes in my mind. But here with this fabric I knew immediately what I want to make from it: a pretty little necklace with birds, which finally looked like I had imagined it.
For this DIY tutorial you need:

1 fabric with interesting prints
2 color-matching felt
3 scissors
4 jewelry chain (available in the jewelry department of craft stores, you can also use an old necklace)
5, several jewelry chain links
6 sewing needle and transparent sewing thread
7 rhinestones, beads or sequins
8 craft glue (or fabric glue)
9 pliers
THE NECKLACE DIY TUTORIAL
Cut off single prints (here birds, flowers and leaves) with a little extra border.
Glue the cut prints on the felt and let it dry for at least one hour.
After the material sticks together with the felt, you can now cut out the figures.
Arrange the individual figures the way you later want them on your necklace.
Now connect the figures with the jewelry chain link rings. Of course you also can sew or glue them together – depending on your personally taste and possibilities.
Now attach the jewelry chain. Thus, the necklace is finished, though still without embellishments.

Glue a few rhinestones, sequins or beads on the figures – DONE!
