For sure, each of you has at least one pair of shoes in the closet that you can not just throw away, although you never wear it. Either you have nice memories about it or the shoes are quite comfortable that you always hope they will be worn somewtime again.
My pair you see here: This pink western boots I did not want to wear in their original condition. As I really wanted to keep them, they needed a “DIY – makeover”.
Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need
- An old pair of cowboy boots (preferably without zippers)
- Seam Ripper
DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions
DIY Step 1
Cut the Boots at the height of your calfes. Keep the cut pieces on the side, because you will need them again in the last step of this tutorial.
DIY Step 2
Unpick the applications and boot-straps with the seam ripper.
DIY Step 3
Now roll down the boots to the desired length and cut off the excess inside lining.
DIY Step 4
Glue the straps and applications now on both sides (like at the “old” boots).
DIY Step 5
The unattractive seams (if they are visible) you can cover now with the remainig pieces of the boot. For the sectional shape you can accord to the existing design elements of the boot (strap). DONE!
