Fashion DIY Tutorial: Spice up a T-shirt with flowers from lace fabric - Fashion Blog: DIY - Outfits, Shoes & Accessories
As probably most of you know, I’m not really the most talented tailoress. But this fact still does not prevent me from trying on difficult sewing projects.
I tailored a lace tunic which actually would have become wearable, but my overlook sewing machine (or rather my inattention) threw a spanner in my works. During neatening the light fabric came across the direction a little bit and therefore not just the seam allowance (an overlook sewing machine neatenes the seams and cuts the seam allowance in one step), but also some of my tunic got cropped.
Fortunately there is still plenty of lace left, so I will sew a new tunic (but then with a conventional sewing machine).
Getting out of my mishap to tinker something “useful”, this DIY idea came to my mind. I spiced up a simple T-shirt with lace flowers and some seed beads.
